About

Description: Bias type pleated centerless buff with fiber center adapter.

Typical Application: Cutting down and finishing operations on smaller parts. Excellent for recessed and internal contours. Used successfully on automatic and semi-automatic machines to buff plastics, etc. Also used extensively on hand buffing operations.

About:
Airway buffs feature a pleated design that allows for cooler operation than full disc untreated buffs, they also provide some oscillation on the face to help prevent rippling and streaking. These are edge cut buffs which means the compound is loaded and all the work is performed on the outer edge only. Airway buffs are similar to loose buffs wherein they will lap considerably under pressure, use extreme caution when using near sharp edges. Cleaning is accomplished through raking or spurring only, do not wash.

Construction:
Usually 86/82 or combination. Can be made of 64/64. Additional cloth can be pleated into the buff. Face density is dependent on the difference between the outside diameter and the center hole.

Sizes:
6" & 8" diameter available. 15ply is standard. Fiber adapter has a 5/8" arbor hole.

Precautions:
Safe operation requires the use of end flanges. Wear appropriate safety clothing, respiratory, and eye protection during use. Do not exceed maximum specified RPM.

Note:
Industrial grade. Guaranteed for quality and performance.

Mighty mini
This little guy gets down and dirty! Fits under bigger blanks, back side of tanks between frame so you can get a true polish clear to the weld. Don't let the smaller size and lesser sfpm fool you, this thing works!

Wheel Size
Some polishers will use worn out wheel to get into tight spot, worn out wheel to me are like grinding discs, I use these a lot on top of fuel tanks under the sleeper, face of tank where battery box is, or any other tight spot, will give you a big airway feel in a small size, works good with yellow Kocour.
