Sewn Buffs
Sewn section buffs are firmer and not as flexible as a loose buffs. It is generally sewn in the form of a spiral from the center to the edge of the buff. The distance sewn between each row can be 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", or 3/4". Quarter inch being the most common. For buffing or coloring various articles made from metal, hard rubber, plastics, etc. where increased rigidity is needed over loose buffs.
