Osborn C3776 Yellow Polishing Compound is a good choice for stainless steel, aluminum and other soft metals. This buffing compound is typically used for final finish work and has excellent performance on stainless steel removing sanding marks, belt lines, and grease wheel marks. This buffing compound will produce a mirror finish and very good color. Osborn yellow buffing compound has a medium grease content ensuring smooth application and usage.


To ensure optimal results, we recommend using medium firmness mill treated buffing wheels or sewn cloth wheels.  These  rouge polishing compound bars are approximately 2” x 2” x 10” and have an average weight of 3 pounds.

Typical Application: Metal finishing. Use with treated and untreated sisal and cloth buffs for cut down or color buffing.

The Polishing Guys thoughts,
Works good on aluminum sheeting to remove minor mill lines. Great for light cut on stainless. Treat this compound as a mild cut 1st or 2nd step don't expect amazing clarity with aluminum or stainless steel in one step

That yellow is great to cut and color on diamond plate, very very little caking if any.
